Project: Identity & Packaging Design
Location: Khobar Saudi Arabia


Sequence is a new coffee shop that aims to provide a unique and enjoyable experience for its customers. The coffee shop is inspired by the flow of coffee, from the beans to the cup. The logo and identity design reflects this flow, with a simple and elegant design that is both modern and timeless.

The logo is a combination of an icon and typography. The coffee bean represents the quality of the coffee that Sequence serves, while the wave represents the flow of coffee beans from the farm to your cup.

The identity design extends the flow aesthetic to all aspects of the coffee shop, from the interior design to the packaging. The use of clean lines and simple shapes creates a sense of openness and flow. The color palette is also inspired by color of coffee from the farm until it is served i
The overall identity design for Sequence is simple, elegant, and modern. It reflects the coffee shop's commitment to providing a unique and enjoyable experience for its customers.

After understanding the need through a discovery session with the client, the team has presented different moldboards to align the approach with the client. After agreeing on the way forward, the team started with the sketching phase.

With may sketches and brainstorming to reach the best results that suit Sequence cafe brand, the team came up with two ideas as follow:




 
The idea in option 1 is illustrate the sequences of making a cup of
coffee from the farm as coffee beans to a ready to sip coffee 

The idea in option 2 is show the letter S in a visual form of
sequence with a coffee drop at the the bottom of the S letter

The client has selected option 1 on the right side above. From there the team continued to develop the rest of the brand including colors, patten, typeface and packaging





The pattern or the the illustration elements of the brand is inspired by the coffee farm field as it can be seen below






One of the most important element of designing for a coffeeshops is the cup design. Among all the packaging, the cup is the one that will be viewed the most thus make an easy way for brand recognition and awareness. Therefore it must be memorable and distinguished.
